I did all testing with no plugins on a portable installation of 2.53.1 on windows 11. I have since brought it back up to 4 rounds, 500MB, parallel 4, and it still opens. I then reduced the parallelism to 2 and memory to just 1MB (just to test it), and that worked, suggesting something internally was attempting to over-preallocate memory. Reducing the number of rounds to 2 did not work.

In KP2A, I was able to reduce all of that (change/sync/test/repeat). I open the file multiple times a day, every day of the week.

  • Key derivation function: Argon2d, rounds=4, memory: 1GB, parallelism=4.
  • Encryption: AES/Rijndael (256-bit key, FIPS 197).
  • Current database settings (read from my mobile): The only changes I've made (about 2-3 weeks ago) is to increase the encryption on the file. I share the file to my mobile (via nextcloud), and the same file opens using Keepass2Android without problem. It is not on under enterprise-control, no GPOs or otherwise not normal to windows should be affecting things. I have made no other system changes recently.

My laptop has 64GB of ram, and it is currently showing only 32.5GB obligated. The file has not changed recently, no other process has it open (afaict). I’m having trouble distinguishing client apps (like the Nextcloud Android app) from server apps (like Keeweb).Failed to load the specified file ! Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. After proof-reading my post, I noticed I’m clumsy when using the word app. I hope I’ve been somewhat helpful! Let me know if I’ve still been too unclear. I also tried “owncloud” because many of them still work with Nextcloud. In F-Droid, I searched for “nextcloud” to get a decently long list of Android apps to play with. Yet I’m able to get ownCloud server apps like Mozilla Sync 1.4 working just fine in Nextcloud. I was just having a discussion in the ownCloud forum where a guy was trying to make the Nextcloud Bookmarks app work with ownCloud, but couldn’t (he just gets a blank page).

Each webDAV project can create their own incompatible framework using webDAV, which is why you’re better off sticking with apps that are Nextcloud specific (or writing your own with Nextcloud in mind).įor example, over the last year Nextcloud has diverged from ownCloud to the point that some client and server apps work with both NC and OC, but others don’t. WebDAV is a protocol that is used to create a communication framework. So does the web interface, when you’re uploading and downloading or using certain server apps*. The Nextcloud Android app! That works via webDAV, and so does the Nextcloud desktop app.

Do you know a Android APP which works where I could test to access the file or folder to test that WebDAV works well?
